BBT Prayer Requests: Week of August 11
« on: August 11, 2008, 01:19:54 PM »
Greetings BBTemple!  This week Pastor David claims healing, mercy and forgiveness for the member of Bartimaeus Baptist Temple.  He asks that this week we remind ourselves who we are and what a great God we serve.  Restore us to where we need to be, Lord.  You are Our God and we are Your People!

Thanks to Arvella for her Bible Study on I Peter 4:16:  “but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name”. Pray that she grow strong and praise Him for many blessings!  Help heal her daughter Dede who was not feeling well and help them both find a new place to live after the death of their landlord.

Brenda asks that we pray for Sarah and Chuck Small to get them back in church.

Laurie Genola asks that we pray for healing for her foot.  She has a large sore that will not heal.  Pray for healing and strength.

Ruth was at the hospital visiting a friend when she tripped and fell, knocking her unconscious and hurting her lip.  Please pray that she allows her doctor to check it out to make sure all is well.  Also pray for Sue in ICU at Mesquite Regional—her blood sugar was so high it didn’t register.  Praise for her healed relationship with her grandson.

Praise for Francis’daughter who is getting out of prison.  Continue to pray for her daughter Lisa who is still looking for a job.

Mike and Cindy ask that we pray for Mike’s brother who recently had surgery for his arteries.

Please pray for Peggy:  strength to rebuild her life after leaving her boyfriend.  She is staying with Mike and Cindy during this transition.  Praise for Peggy’s Social Security checks due to start in October.  Pre-emptive praise for Cindy who may get a job at a new retail chain! Pray the ministering spirits go forth and bring back a great job for Cindy! 

We missed Earl this week, but Don talked with him.  Please pray for Earl’s continued health and strength and pray for blessings and encouragement.

Pam thanks everyone for praying for her other and please continue to pray for to grow ever closer to her Heavenly Father.

Praise for Don and Brenda Potts who are always ready and willing to do whatever they’re asked to do.  We are truly blessed with their persistence and perseverance!

Larry and Linda ask for prayers on behalf of their friend, Dr. Larry Waters from Dallas Seminary:  he and his wife Mary have been helping care for Dottie Zuck (who has Parkinson’s), who is not doing well at all. And please pray for their daughter DeAnna who has female surgery on Tuesday with the hopes that it will suffice so she doesn’t have to have a hysterectomy.

If there is any prayer that we’ve overlooked, Lord, charge it to our heads and not our hearts!  We love You, Lord-- praise You and thank You in the name of Jesus.  Amen!

In His Accessible Grace,
Linda
