Francis praises the Lord that she was given a new air conditioner. We rejoice with her. It's much too hot right now to have inadequate cooling.
Ruth asks that we pray for a friend of her son's, Dianne Cook. With the onset of Alzheimer's, she has lost the ability to drive and is not getting the help she needs.
Sandy would like for us to pray as she goes to the doctor again this week about venous insufficiency in her legs. She's asking for healing. She first asked that we pray for a friend, Rita, that she remain safe as she travels. Rita has Parkinson's.
Kelley asks that we pray she gets to continue her physical therapy so that she can keep getting stronger and better able to take care of herself. John wants us to keep praying for his healing and adds that he's having trouble now with a hip. She wants us to keep praying for her sister and brother-in-law Shelley and Clark.
Dede would like for us to remember the wife, Andrea, and family of her brother who passed away recently as they deal with their grief. We keep praying for Arvella, who is doing a little better, and for Dede's eyes. She would also like us to pray for her cousin, Dean, who has lost his sight with the cause not yet known.
Priscilla asks that we keep Pastor David in our prayers because of his eye and hip problems. I hope that we are all praying for him all of the time. As does any pastor, he faces greater challenges commensurate with the responsibility he has taken on as our Pastor. Our enemy would like to take him down, but we will lift him up in prayer.
Kim lost her wallet last week and injured her foot by stepping on glass. Keep her in your prayers and thank God for what He has already done.
Brenda wants us to pray for her mother who has Alzheimer's. Brenda prays for peace in her family as she misses seeing her grandchildren. Don is in agreement with this prayer.
Pastor David later informed us that the air conditioning on the church van is failing. We pray God sends the right person to get it repaired. He told us that Mary was not feeling well and that we should keep praying for Jimmy's fiance who is still sick.
One of the things we learned this week was that we can find joy in bearing fruit. One of the ways we can do that is by praying for others. It takes our focus off of ourselves and helps us to see ways in which we can bless them. May you find the joy of fruitfulness this week.
