Chris Hale, a friend of the church, recently broke his arm and hurt his head in a fall. Pleas pray for a rapid recovery. Not being able to use his legs makes this a particularly challenging situation. Remember Chuck Hagel as he goes to the doctor for the eye problem we prayed about last week. Keep Mary in your prayers that she stays as healthy as possible inside and out and doesn't draw away from us. We all need to let her know just how much we love her. Letrice is presumably still in the rehab center. We haven't heard from her. Keep praying that they are able to help her regain her mobility. Kelley passed along a request that we pray with her concerning some important decisions she needs to make soon. She's still getting rehab as well and has been moved to a different location. We're saddened that she's now too far away for the bus to be able to pick her up for church and pray we can find a way to get her here.
April thanks everyone for their prayers over the past few months. She praises God that she has been certified as a support group facilitator and looks forward to being able to help others. She asks that we keep praying for her mother who has another appointment on Friday. April asks that we also keep praying for her Aunt Bobbie. She asks us to pray for another aunt, Lois I think I heard, who was caring for someone who recently passed away.
I did not capture the facts accurately last week regarding Mike's situation. He has at least one more chemo treatment and possibly more depending on what they find. However, we are praying for a better result than that and praising God along with him that there has been a fifty percent reduction in what they have been able to identify. Remember him and his family during this difficult time. Let him know you love him and expect him to be around for years to come. He requests that we pray for his sister who is also facing cancer.
Sandy asks prayer for her nephew's wife, Tammy, who is rapidly losing weight with no apparent cause. She would like for us to pray for a homeless woman who has been emailing her by the name of Julie who needs a place to stay and would like to be in the Dallas area.
Linda would like for us to pray for Dianne, the woman who came to church with us a few weeks ago. She's coping with a number of challenges, including the loss of sight and the need to find a permanent place to live.
Sarah requests that we pray for her family and particularly for a situation regarding her daughter and an x boyfriend who may be on drugs. I'm not sure how much detail is appropriate to an on-line forum so I'll let Sarah clarify anything she wants to.
Priscilla reminds us to keep praying for Arvella and Dede. Arvella is no longer able or possibly not willing to take care of her most basic needs anymore, putting a lot of strain on Dede. She asks that we continue to remember her father in prayer. He had another stroke while she was with him over the weekend and is also struggling with the realities of disability. She also thanks us for keeping Kim in our prayers and reports that she is doing much better.
Remember to thank God for all the prayers already answered and the daily blessings you have from Him. In that thankfulness bring these concerns before Him. As you turn your heart toward these who are in need you will find God granting the desires of your heart because it is becoming more like His.
