We had lots of praise reports this week. Most were given at the end of the prayer time but I am putting them first. We all have so much to be thankful for that we should always have more praise than we do requests, even though many of us face more challenges than most.
Kelley is getting some good physical therapy now and may be moving into a better living situation soon. We've been excited about that before and it didn't work out, but we keep on trusting God for the best. This may be it. Lee Cagel is praising God that her back is healed. Priscilla rejoices that God put her son Josh in the right place at the right time to save a man who was choking. Pam thanks the Lord for a friend who showed up unexpectedly to save her from having to take the bus in the rain last week. Brenda is thankful that a friend is doing better on new medication. I thank the Lord for this church and for all that God has done to bring me to this place. I'm thankful for all members, friends, and family who came out to see me take the next step into the calling that He placed on my life.
Priscilla went pretty fast but I think I got that Mike is undergoing his last round of chemo this week or it might have been last week. Either way he still needs our prayers. Cancer of the gall bladder is what I believe I heard.
Arvella and Dede still need our prayers and support as things are not getting better. Dede also asks that we pray for Andrew and family. Mary wasn't feeling well enough to be with us. We didn't get any more information regarding her prayer request from a couple of weeks ago. Continue to remember Richard, Kay, and Annette.
Chuck Cagel has learned that he has diabetes and some bleeding behind his eyes. Janet asks that we pray for her sister, Laura, who also has diabetes. Pam wants us to pray for Peggy's uncle's girlfriend Shirley who has possibly had a heart attack. Ruth would like us to keep praying for her sister, Mary Ellen, who is still suffering with pain in her back and down her leg. Francis is praying that her daughter, Chrystal, will come to church. Brenda asks that we pray for Chuck and Sarah. Sandy would like us to remember a family she heard of through an acquaintance that lost a two-year-old daughter when their water heater exploded. They also have a little boy who was badly burned.
As you take these concerns to the Lord, remember all that He has already done. Trust Him even when the answers aren't what you think they should be. He wants us to intercede for others because in so doing we learn to love them like He does. As our heart's desires become more like His, He can give us the desires of our hearts.
