Praise and Prayer Requests for May 30
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:58:26 PM »
We have much to be thankful for this week.  When we reflect on all that God has given us, we always do, but this week especially we have received some great news.  First, Mike was supposed to start chemotherapy on Friday, but the doctors can no longer find the source of his cancer.  They believe that he still has it and he will be undergoing treatment, but the aggressive chemotherapy that he was scheduled for is no longer necessary.  The port is to be removed.  We are so thankful for God's mercy and we keep praying.  We know that He is able to remove it completely.  We also learned that Kelly may soon be moving into new digs in a very nice assisted living center not far from the church.  God really does answer prayer!

In the noticed news department, Letrice was shot in the leg this week in a random drive-by.  We're glad to see her with us despite this and that no permanent damage was done.  Pray for her continued recovery that there will be no complications.  We also pray for the perpetrator that he finds redemption before it is too late.

April wants continued prayer for health and peace in the family and rejoices in the new things God is doing in her life.

Priscilla asks us to continue prayer for her son and granddaughter, Tyler and Leslie, in their new living arrangements.  Pastor David and she are praising God for the changes they already see.

Again we praise the Lord for the things He is doing in our church.  Don't forget to ask Him as you pray if He wants you to be part of the answer.
