PRAYER REQUESTS Week of September 1, 2008
Priscilla’s prayer: There are a lot of people who are hurting, those in nursing homes and those in need of a touch from you, Lord. Holy Spirit, move amongst us. You are in control and you are so worthy to be praised. Touch each and every person, put your angels around them, take away their depression and bring the joy! Motivate them to make every day count. And Lord we pray especially for Laurie who has been through so much. Please heal her in the name of Jesus. Amen!
Priscilla reports that Earl is ready to go Home to be with the Lord. Please do whatever you need to do in order to reach out to Earl and console him, and lift his spirits.
Laurie was doing well following her surgery to have her leg amputated but she stopped breathing and is now on a ventilator. Pray that the EEG shows signs of brain activity and that she recover consciousness and be restored to health. Pray also for comfort for her husband Sammy.
Lupe asks that you pray for her grandson Jesus Jr. who turned 16 and is acting spoiled.
Peggy asks that we continue to pray for Mike’s brother who is in the hospital again. Praise for Don and Brenda for taking her to see her mother.
Francis says that her daughter Lisa is still looking for a job. Please pray for the ministering spirits to go forth and supply her with the employment she seeks.
Richard reports that Sandra had her baby (Alexandra). Pray for our friends Sammy and Laurie Genola—Laurie is still in the hospital on a ventilator following her surgery. Richard prays for protection for all the people affected by Gustav.
Kelly is in agreement with Richard and asks for prayer for those who don’t have anywhere to go following Gustav.
Cindy says that Mary is ready to be with the Lord but shares a praise report because no surgery was needed because her leg is healed!
Pam prays that God’s will be done, and to give us courage. Her mother’s birthday is coming up September 23: may her mother's birthday be blessed and may the Lord draw them closer together.
Ruth asks that we pray for Dr. Beckstrom who fell and broke ribs. He has cancer in his bones so pray that a complete healing be made manifest in his body.
Pray for Kimmy’s best friend Julie in Vegas. Jeanine is having a hard time going through a divorce, pray for comfort and peace during this difficult time.
